I’m still trying to figure out exactly what I’d like to focus on with this blog. Whether it will be about my love of the environment, animals, fashion, food, tea, or just my thoughts and opinions on life itself.
I’m generally a very happy person, but as of the last few months I’ve been up and down with anxiety and depression. It’s nothing serious, it’s fairly mild compared with what so many other people have to deal with - for example a member of my family who struggles with bipolar and borderline personality disorders. I’m trying to keep positive, and I’m trying to feel better about myself. I know I need to become a healthier person, in my body and in my mind.
I need to start eating healthier, and I need to exercise regularly. I’m conerned about all the additives, chemicals and harmful ingredients in the food I eat and the products I use daily. The things I have read, and the evidence that is seen in the world around us is really alarming, and I believe my various health issues can be attributed solely to the things I am putting in my body and on my skin. There are natural alternatives for almost everything we use, which work just as well, if not better than the chemical cocktails.
I am slowly working towards replacing all my cosmetics and toiletries with organic and natural products. I am a big fan of Yes To Carrots, and I’m looking forward to buying some Sukin items. I am also convincing my family to start using biodegradable household cleaners and washing detergents. I would like to dispell the myth that natural products are less effective! Any suggestions of great brands are we welcomed.
Im going to try and update this blog every couple of days, and I guess we’ll find out what it will turn into in the future.
